Vagh Comfortaire is an Indian mattress and sleep products manufacturer that needed a brand identity as inviting as a good night's rest. The challenge was to balance the warmth and approachability of a consumer comfort brand with the credibility of an established manufacturer — a company whose values span competence, durability, and industry expertise alongside comfort, freshness, and empathy.
The logo is entirely custom hand-lettered script — 'Comfortaire' flows in continuous connected cursive strokes with generous loops and a relaxed baseline rhythm, while 'VAGH' is set in arched uppercase above it. The stroke is a consistent monoline weight that feels hand-drawn without being sloppy. The crowning detail is a cloud illustration organically integrated into the upper-right of the lettering, its rounded billows emerging naturally from the script's own curves — making the cloud feel grown from the typography rather than placed on top of it. The brand also includes a complete Devanagari (Hindi) version of the logo, maintaining the same script energy and cloud integration, which is a significant undertaking given the different letterform structures.
The color palette is bold and distinctive: Ultramarine Blue (#4067F4) as the primary brand color — vivid and confident — paired with Lavender Blue (#BBC9F2) as a softer secondary. These are complemented by warm accents: Medium Champagne (#ffeaa9) and Cyber Yellow (#ffd639) for energy and optimism, with Cultured (#f2f2f2) as a neutral background tone. The blue-and-yellow combination is unusual in the mattress industry and gives Comfortaire immediate shelf differentiation.
The brand system extends into two distinct badge marks — a geometric octagonal seal and a cloud-shaped stamp — both featuring a 'VC' monogram surrounded by the tagline 'OPTIMAL COMFORT, BUILT TO LAST'. A custom icon set in Cyber Yellow covers the full product story: cotton boll (materials), mattress cross-sections (construction), feather-in-hand (softness), closed eyelashes (sleep), cloud-and-moon (dreaming), delivery truck (logistics), store locator, diamond (premium quality), and piggy bank with rupee symbol (value). Two brand patterns round out the system: a vertical rounded-line grid on champagne and an ogee trellis in yellow on cream. Applications include a fabric label mockup showing the logo embossed on blue tags sewn into bedding, and a door hanger reading 'Just keep dreaming!' — a branded touchpoint designed for hotel and retail partnerships.
